‘The Bachelor’ follows Misha, a failed writer in recovery from drug addiction, who gathers his closest friends to a retreat on the outskirts of Berlin for his bachelor party. Over the course of the evening, he leads them through games, rituals, as well as a session of constellations in which all participants take on the roles of Misha’s close family members, in an attempt to achieve emotional resolution and free him of past traumas.
"When the ugliness of life becomes unbearable, only beauty in death can set you free. This "linguistic thriller" force-feeds the viewer a non-verbal banquet they won't soon forget, giving new meaning to "reading between the lines". Naomi is a woman with a calling. A calling to deliver divine vengeance. Disgusted by the irreparable hideousness of the people that surround her, she sets out on a mission to correct it in the only way she knows how, even if it costs her her soul. But maybe beauty ain't worth all that."
