Jubal Died in the Flood (2019)

music for performer lockpicking and talking

On 30 November, at KM28 in Berlin I announced that I would quit composing and performing as I had wasted my life. I did this whilst lockpicking a padlock which held closed a chain wrapped around my wrists. This announcement was the piece "Jubal Died in the Flood". This was then followed by "Concerto pour la main droite (for Ivan)". The combination of these two works together is called "Deathless".

Nothing Is Surprising (2015)

music-theatre for 3 performers

Commissioned and performed as part of the Rock Paper Scissors Project with Inlets Ensemble. ROCK PAPER SCISSORS was a concert series performed by Inlets Ensemble exploring sonic and conceptual strategies for creating music with simple, non-musical objects. Held at Audiotheque in Miami Beach during the summer of 2015, each concert focused on one object - rocks, paper or scissors - and featured an extensive program of historical and contemporary works. " is an aleatoric dance, a permutative finger painting coloring book, a rhythmic study using picture frames and chewing gum, a separation of clasped hands and the sounding of a chord in one's mind. It also uses a lot of paper."
